Jacobs Creek

Here are some photo's that we took on our walk down to the creek. We also included Ben's first smile (or so we think..our perhaps he's about to cry?). The pictures of Canyon with the blue outfit on (Thanks Aunt Retta and Uncle Len!)are some of our favorite faces of Benjamin. He is very bright eyed and loves to look around. It looks as if his eyes will be blue like his Dadda's.

Merry Christmas (Week 3)

We had lots of visitors to celebrate Christmas with Benjamin. Mike, Dave, Dana, Bill, Gina and Jim went into New York City to watch Pittsburgh top Duke in a buzzer beater. Mike and Dave continued their big adventure at Foley's, drinking Stella, eating sliders and watching the Steelers. Poppie Dave, Grandma Cindy (Omi), Uncle Jim and Aunt Jenica were here for Christmas #1. We also had a special visit from Yael. We opened presents and received so many nice gifts for Benjamin from family, friends and neighbors. Thank you all so much. Grandpa Dana, Nana, Uncle Bill, Uncle Jim and Aunt Gina came for the second installment of Christmas. Again our tree was surrounded by lots of gifts. We had fun playing games and uploading pictures onto Nana's new Digital picture frame while Benjamin began to learn how to use his limbs (grabbing stuffed animals and banging momma in the head). Benjamin's umbilical cord fell off this week too, Yippee!! We hope you all had a wonderful Christmas.

Week 2

Week 2 has been eventful. Benjamin is growing so big. He has been nursing well and sleeping about 2 hours at a time. He loves being held while he sleeps during the day and does well in his co-sleeper at night. Grandma Cindy stayed with us and helped so much. Thank you Grandma Cindy. Mike and I loved the breakfast in bed!! We also loved the chocolate milk mashed potatoes and library book in the washing machine. What will Grandma Cindy do next? We also had a very special visit from the Abdominal Snowman and his fiancee the Sugar Plum Fairy (aka Jim and Gina). We also celebrated Benjamin's arrival with Grandpa Dana and Nana with some champagne. Week 2 was lot's of fun!

One Week Old!

We are all adjusting to Benjamin's arrival and loving every minute of it! He is such a great baby and is very content to hang out with all of us. He had his one week check up at the pediatrician and is now 9lbs 2.5oz! He's a good eater just like his mom and his dad!! We are trying to get sleep when we can and just enjoying our time with Canyon.

Grammie Cindy and Nana Kathryn have been such a big help this week. Thank YOU! Ben misses Grandpa Dana and Papa Dave and sends love and cuddles.

Benjamin Canyon Joseph

8lbs 15oz and 21 inches

We are sooo excited and blessed to have this little guy in our lives! We are all just getting to know Benjamin and figuring out how to be parents. Christine is healing after 22 hours in labor and Mike is trying to catch up on sleep. We have lot's of help from Grammie Cindy and Papa Dave and Nanna Kathryn and Grandpa Dana. Thanks for all your good wishes and thoughts! We'll post more soon but for now here are some more pictures.

40 Weeks

Here are some pictures for your viewing pleasure. Today is Canyon's due date but no sign of Canyon yet. The plan now is to check into the hospital Wednesday night and be induced Thursday morning (Dec 6th).

39 Weeks Photo

For all of you who are wondering who Canyon is??? Canyon is the gestational name for our baby. Our due date is December 4th. We have been informed that we will go one week over due until December 11th if need be. We'll see! We really hope Canyon comes soon!! As soon as he or she decides it's time to come out, we will post more photos and info here.

Halloween

Here are some long overdue photos of Halloween. Our neighbors hosted an amazing Halloween Baby Shower for us. Thank YOU!! (Christine's belly measured 45" around at the party..nice guess Dave!)
