Gorham Mountain

We hiked up Gorham Mountain this morning!



At the top, we met a couple who was celebrating their 20th anniversary. We told them about how Mike had proposed on Gorham and then realized we realized it will be our 4th anniversary on the 16th!

Taking the other side of the mountain on our way down led us to Sand Beach where we had planned to spend the rest of the afternoon.  Shortly after we set up our stuff, we were greeted with this:



We made it back to our cars just as the first raindrops started to fall.  On the way home, we picked up lobsters for dinner again.  While we ate, Ben shared an ice cream cone with Andrew.

Library Time

Dana and Kathryn left bright and early this morning to return home. Shortly after they left we all got ready and went to the Southwest Harbor library for story time.



There was a woman who brought her little dog for all the kids to squeal over.



Ben then led us to a playground across the street.




After dinner, Ben was watching his Christmas movie on the computer and said he couldn't see very well, so Christine gave him her glasses to "see better." Ben continued to watch the movie over the rim of the glasses and told us he could see a lot better! We thought it was hilarious!

Lobster Attack!

Today we went to Sand Beach and played in the waves and the tide pools, and made trains in the sand.



 Lobsters were on the dinner menu. 
We picked them up at a lobster pound



and had a little fun with them on the deck before sticking them in the pot:



After dinner, we set up Ben with an ice cream cone and a movie on our computer using Jim and Gina's Netflix "Instant Play."  He loved watching classic Christmas stories while we ate our dinner.

Ship Harbor Hike

Ben enjoyed his nightly ice cream after dinner!

We had bbq chicken and corn on the cob.

The Pool is Wet!

We have arrived in Maine!  Shortly after we arrived we went for a walk down on the pier with Jim, Gina, and Thomas.



On the way back, Ben was feeling the water in the pool with his fingers and lost his balance...



Jim grilled hot dogs and hamburgers while Kathryn made potato salad and even a blueberry pie with Ben's help.  Yummy!

Getting There

When we landed, Ben was invited to come into the cockpit!!
