The Fountain

Jim and Mike went to work like the good government workers they are while the rest of us hung out at Gina's house and finally ended up playing at the fountain.  The original plan was to go to our community pool this evening, but due to a powerful storm last night almost all businesses and stoplights were shut down, including the pool. We ordered pizzas for dinner, then had an impromptu "birthday party" for Kaili, who will be 1 next Monday!

Heat Wave

We took advantage of the whole family being together and met up with a photographer at the park down the street from Jim and Gina's house. The heat and humidity were intense so we really rushed through the photos and ended up once again in the pool to cool down as soon as we arrived back at their house. We grilled some burgers for dinner!

The Hawaiians Have Landed

Kaili, Laurie, and Bill landed in DC this afternoon.  The are staying with Jim and Gina while Dana and Kathryn stay with us.  We all went over to Jim and Gina's for a dinner of pork loin and kabobs.

The Firemen Came to Our House!

Our smoke alarms were acting a little funny this morning so we did the safe thing and called the local fire department! It was very exciting!
