To the Big Island!

First full day in Hawaii. Yesterday was a full day of flying. When we arrived in Honolulu, we checked into a hotel and ordered a pizza. Bill stopped to see us too. He's coming over to the Big Island tomorrow.
This morning we ate breakfast at the hotel before going to the airport. When we arrived in Hilo, Dana and Kathryn greeted us with leis!

We rented a car and had some fun trying to install the carseat for Ben. They only had forward facing carseats and he seems pretty excited to finally see the road.

Our bed and breakfast, called the "Volcano Tree House," is about 30 minutes from the airport. It really is like a tree house!

We got settled, then promptly took a nap. We're planning to use the grill for dinner. The weather is almost chilly and very damp, but then again, we are on the rainforest side of the island.
